Whiskers

Jack's new favorite thing to do is to "shave".  He got a kid's shaving set for his birthday from Grammi and Papa and suddenly his whiskers have started growing like crazy.  I've never seen whiskers grow so fast...he's having to shave multiple times a day!  You can tell he's watched Ryan a few times...it looks like he actually knows what he's doing when he uses a mirror!

Jack is THREE!

My brother-in-law Taylor cleverly compared Jack's birthday to the Amish Rumspringa.  (The year the teenagers get to run around and do whatever they want.)  We're usually rather careful about what the boys eat (which obvious break downs at times...see previous post documenting Jack's introduction to the Oreo!), so you'll see in the following pictures that Taylor was quite right!

Earlier this year we took Jack to the high school musical, Seussical the Musical, which he really enjoyed.  So we went with a Dr. Seuss theme for his party.

Milk's Favorite Cookie

Ryan was gone for the week earlier this month and brought Jack home a surprise...an introduction to the Oreo.  He later told Uncle John on the phone that Ryan had brought him "Milk's Favorite Cookie".

Lane has learned how to do stairs, so the baby gate is up.  This morning he was playing by the gate so Jack joined him and told me, "I will show 'Yane' how to get up the steps."  Um...no thanks Jack!  (Good thing Jack doesn't actually know how to get around/over/through the gate yet!)

Jack got to spend the night with Alisa Monday night so Lane got Mom and Dad AND all the toys to himself...woooo-hoo! :)

First Game at Hilton

Alisa and Laurie & Alan had enough extra tickets to yesterday's Iowa State women's basketball game that they were able to take our whole family along.  The boys did great and the Cyclone women are still undefeated.  Thanks for the tickets guys!
