Fall 2018

Nathanael Greene Homestead fall festival with Bri

Carving Pumpkins
Son of a construction guy...
Ryan introduced carving with power tools last year.
SO much more fun!

Coop Field Trip to Frontier Theatres
Face paint for the tribal council
"Zip line"
Civil War presentation
We took a "hayride"out to an area where there was another presentation.
These city boys were not fooled...they've spent enough time on a farm to
know what a livestock trailer is, and to recognize the absence of any hay!
We all got a kick out of our hay livestock trailer ride.
Happy Halloween!
Obi Wan Kenobi, Han Solo, and Chewie

The boy's buddy next door, Seth
Our dear friends, Don & Marie, who built our house
and lived in it for 50 years, before handing it off to us.
Marie SPOILS these boys...an entire bowl of candy each!
After supper with Don & Marie, we headed to Ozark for
a party and trick or treating (in the rain!) with Sonrise friends.
Sonrise kids and the Ozark Police Department
We lost my Grandpa Bob this fall.
We made a very quick trip to Iowa for services and to say good-bye.
Lane has a friend Cy in his coop class and has told him about our
favorite mascot, so we wanted to show Cy "our CY"
We got to bring Blake home with us after the funeral.
What fun to get to have him for a few days!
Home Depot Workshop
Lane did a great job playing with Blake

We have an INCREDIBLE amount of leaves in this yard!
Lots of fun and lots of work!

An afternoon at the Egesdahls
Jesse turns FOUR!
Jesse wanted a cowboy birthday.  It turned out to be pretty special
that he got to dress up for it, as his tie, belt buckle, and collar tips all
came from Grandpa Bob.  He was pretty pleased with his get-up
and thought Grandpa Bob was SO nice to give him all those things.
I wish Grandpa could've seen him!
Oh Jesse!

Cowboy boot pinata
This pinata thing might need to come to an end-
this is getting difficult!
The birthday boy's brothers and dad dressed up as cowboys with him,
and Don even showed up in a cowboy vest too.

Our neighbor Seth got home from work one day and I told the boys they should go ask if he wanted to play.  A few minutes later I heard something starting up in their back shed and they came (with candy bars and miniature boy dinosaurs in hand) to ask if they could ride the 4-wheeler.  They were getting individual rides and then I came into the front yard to see this...cracked me up...3 little kids and 1 big kid!  The next day Lane asked if they could go see if Seth wanted to play again. :)

A day in Branson
Samson Play at Sight & Sound Theatre

Silver Dollar City with the Stines
