This guy is a hoot and such a joy...we're glad he's ours! :)

SIDEWALK PAINT!

Jack and I had planned to make sidewalk paint about a week before it happened, so there was quite a build-up of excitement.  It's cool enough stuff that we weren't disappointed.  Equal parts corn starch and water...add some food coloring...and wha-la!

I liked the splatter paint best...

...until we started making "snakes"!

A Lunch Break Request

BSF ended a couple of weeks ago and apparently Jack just couldn't
go a Wednesday w/out "Bible class", so the first Wednesday after it
ended he had Bible class with Lane.  Here they are having their snack.
(Lane played along WONDERFULLY for snack time...not sure
about the rest of the time though...)

Murder Mystery Dinner

We had a "Murder Mystery Dinner"/live Clue game Sunday night w/ the youth.  Ryan and I's parts were Mr. & Mrs. Grey; owners of the manor and hosts of the party.  Mr. Grey was an aspiring politician who loves the limelight (ha!), and Mrs. Grey was his sparkling wife (good thing for HS girls who are in dance and willing to loan old costumes out!).  Fun night w/ the kids and other leaders!

Lane's "Mean Face"

Lane has developed a scowl that Jack calls his "Mean Face".  He sometimes does it if we tell him "no" or don't give him what he wants.  Other times he seems to do it for a laugh, as that's what Jack does when he sees him doing it.  In these cases he'll hold the scowl for quite awhile and then break into a big grin.

This particular morning Lane was not wanting Ryan OR I
to feed him, so we got the scowl.

This is an example of the post-scowl grin, which leads me
to believe it is ALL for show sometimes!

We finally found the right solution...Lane just wanted Jack to feed him!

K4T

Jack was lucky enough to get to go to Kid's 4 Truth for the last few months this year.  He LOVED it.  Here he is before the last K4T of the year.  (He chose the shirt to wear under his K4T shirt...it had something to do with it matching something he sees on the screen each week...???)
