Tulip Time

My friend Erin and I took the kids to Pella for the Tulip Festival.

Jack may not have appreciated the tulips and festivities much, but that's okay...it was well worth the trip! We love hangin' out with these guys!

Easter

We got to spend Easter weekend in St. Louis with Ryan's family and were lucky enough to not only see the whole Helmkamp gang, but also lots of extended family.

Jack was clearly thrilled about the sweater vest Mom picked out as his Easter outfit.

Take 2...after Dad promised him he would only have to wear a sweater vest for his first Easter.

Rock Chalk

Look who's ready for a game at Allen Fieldhouse...

He's already been on a "campus(/Marcie) visit" at Iowa State, so for those of you who are disgusted by this, be assured; he'll bleed red and gold. We just like good basketball...(that's in no way a shot at Fred or our Cyclones of course! :))

Reading and Matching

We got lots of great books from one of the showers my sisters and a friend threw for us, and have continued to collect since. I love kids books...hope Jack does too!

Apparently these two like to match.

Do they plan it? You'll have to ask them...I only dress one of them!

Like Father Like Son

BUMBO

Some friends loaned us their Bumbo and I pulled it out for Jack this week.

It was just hilarious to see him sitting up in the thing.

He's quite content in it...I think we're gonna like this thing!

As long as you're doing a photo shoot, I might as well pose!

Checking out the bookshelf and all the more interesting books than the one I chose to read him.
