Buddies

Another one to add to the list of backyard wildlife.
We see turkeys out in the field sometimes, but it
was a first to have one strut across the back yard.

Center Grove Orchard

The Orchard is one of the boys' favorite fall things.  We got to go with our good friend Donna this year.  She didn't miss out on any of the fun...she just happened to be the one taking pictures, so we didn't get a picture of her in the corn pool or going down the big slide! :)

Blackhawk Helicopters
We have some friends at BSF whose Dad/husband is a Blackhawk pilot and commander.  The boys are very into military stuff and we often see Blackhawks flying over our house, so it was a big deal to get to go see the helicopters with our friends.  We thought we would get to see a helicopter up close, but didn't realize they would actually get to get in one and climb around!  We also got to see one take off and got to try out night vision goggles.  The only thing they didn't get was a ride. ;)

The boys asked to be Fire-breathing Dragons this year for Halloween.  I waited a few weeks after the first mention, hoping maybe they'd change their minds.  No such luck, but it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.  Thanks to the party horn fire, I think most people figured out what they were!
